The girl thought her cat was gone until she got a job at the shelter.
An accident (or maybe fate?) returned the cat, lost three years ago, to her owner. Hannah Rowntree lost her pet named Spanky three years ago and since she could not find him anywhere, she gave up her searching. Three years later, in December 2019, she got a job at a local animal shelter. The next day, after examining all the pets, she saw a cat that looked like Spanky’s twin. It turned out that it was exactly Spanky, and Hannah took her home a once. The cat was Hannah’s first pet and she was very attached to him.
Three years ago, when the cat disappeared, the girl did not stop crying.
Hanna’s family searched for Spanky for several months with no luck. They assumed the cat has died or someone took her – there were many assumptions.

It was December when Hannah joined Saving Grace Pet Adoption center as a volunteer, and this opportunity changed her life.
Spanky’s story was rather interesting. He was found near the road and taken to a local pet shelter. Then he was adopted by a couple, which returned the cat a few weeks later to the shelter as Spanky was refusing to catch mice.
Hannah says that finding Spanky after these years was a miracle. She then microchipped him, so that he never gets lost again. In response to questions where he has been all these years, Spanky purrs only. Apparently this journey will remain the cat’s secret for the rest of his life.
